Quality Assurance Engineer – Data & Software Testing

About the role

Siftwell Analytics is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the accuracy and reliability of its healthcare data and software products. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will build automated data‑validation processes and support the customer‑facing analytics application by triaging and reproducing bugs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated validation processes for customer data inputs, transformations, and outputs.
• Replace manual checks with repeatable, scalable, well‑documented QA methods.
• Identify incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate data and communicate issues to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, regression tests, and validation rules.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for software products and data pipelines.
• Triage, reproduce, document, and track software bugs reported by customers and internal teams.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Customer Success to assess issue severity and support resolution.
• Monitor recurring defects, identify root causes, and recommend automation or prevention opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or data quality.
• Proven experience testing data pipelines, analytics platforms, or machine‑learning products.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high ownership and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across technical, product, and customer‑facing teams.

Required skills

• Python (or similar scripting language) for automation and data validation.
• SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Vitest, and pytest.
• Experience designing automated API, backend, and end‑to‑end tests.
