SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA & ECC

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, build and support solutions on SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA. The role will contribute to our enterprise SAP modernization journey, ensuring clean‑core, upgrade‑safe applications on‑premise and on SAP Business Technology Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support SAP applications across ECC 6.0 (EHP7) and S/4HANA.
• Design scalable, upgrade‑safe ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, RAP, CDS, AMDP and OData V2/V4.
• Build and maintain Fiori/UI5 applications, focusing on performance and enterprise architecture standards.
• Support ECC‑to‑S/4HANA conversions, SPAU/SPDD activities, ATC‑driven code remediation and post‑conversion stabilization.
• Implement integrations via IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, SOAP and REST APIs.
• Develop side‑by‑side and cloud‑based extensions on SAP BTP using RAP‑based backend services.
• Optimize performance on SAP HANA with code push‑down, CDS‑centric data models and efficient Open SQL.
• Provide production support, enhancements and defect resolution for both ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
• Enforce ABAP quality and testing standards using ABAP Unit, ATC/SCI, Code Inspector, SAT, ST05, SQL Monitor and ST12.
• Collaborate with functional, Basis, integration and architecture teams on design reviews and effort estimates.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development in ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments.
• Strong experience with ABAP on HANA, performance tuning and database‑centric development.
• Proven track record supporting SAP upgrades, migrations and ECC‑to‑S/4HANA projects.
• Deep knowledge of ABAP Objects, enhancements framework, BADIs and interface development.
• Hands‑on experience with modern ABAP technologies such as RAP, CDS, AMDP and OData services.
• Domain experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or finance is a plus.
