Lead Systems Engineer

About the role

Revolutional is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to drive end‑to‑end systems engineering execution for a large‑scale federal modernization program. The role bridges architecture and delivery, ensuring designs become integrated, scalable solutions while supporting high‑volume, near‑real‑time data processing and advanced analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across systems engineering efforts within the DTAM program.
• Translate architectural designs into actionable engineering plans and execution.
• Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and integration points.
• Lead system integration across applications, data platforms, and cloud environments.
• Ensure systems meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, enabling automation, testing, and continuous delivery.
• Mentor engineering teams and enforce systems engineering best practices.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or technical leadership.
• Proven experience supporting large‑scale, complex IT modernization programs.
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability for system‑level outcomes.
• Effective communication across technical teams and senior stakeholders.
