Sample Management Coordinator III

About the role

The Sample Management Coordinator III supports customer orders by handling highly potent and controlled chemical samples, managing sample staging, inventory updates, and direct container submissions. The role ensures timely laboratory turnaround while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Directed Sample Submission (DSS) support, including sample solubilization, tube creation, plating, and shipping coordination.
• Process customer orders, prioritize based on comments, and manage sample shipping and receiving.
• Inspect testing plates, monitor automation systems, and communicate issues to clients.
• Maintain reference compounds, archive solubilized samples, and manage storage locations across refrigerators, freezers, and automated systems.
• Track unretrieved plates, coordinate retrieval or disposal, and resolve sample storage issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• At least one year of laboratory research experience in a detail‑oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and effective communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively under production deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using SharePoint sites.
• Comfortable handling chemical samples and following SOPs.
• Ability to quickly learn job‑specific software.
