Sales Engineer (Technical Support) - Unmanned Systems

About the role

CACI is hiring a Sales Engineer (Technical Support) in Huntsville, Alabama, within its Information Technology category. The role supports all sales activities by providing technical expertise throughout customer engagements, covering integration support, training, product sustainment and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. It is full time, regular, with up to 50% travel across the continental US, and requires an active security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Support Account Executives and Account Managers on all technical aspects of customer engagements.
• Provide technical support for new platform integrations and take part in pre-sale technical discussions.
• Deliver technical documentation and remote integration assistance as required.
• Train customers on products before and after sale.
• Travel regularly to customer sites for bailments, demos and new product deliveries.
• Serve as subject matter expert on gimbal operation and performance expectations.
• Assist with product sustainment, including firmware updates and new feature rollouts.
• Support trade shows, industry events and field exercises.
• Work with Field Service Representatives to troubleshoot issues, address performance concerns and process RMAs.
• Capture customer feedback on limitations, capability gaps and new requirements to inform engineering design.

Required profile

• 2+ years of technical or engineering experience with hardware integration on autonomous or unmanned platforms (UAS, USV, UGV).
• 2+ years of sales engineering, customer support or field support experience.
• Familiarity with the defense technology ecosystem and unmanned systems applications.
• Strong ability to articulate product capabilities and engage customers and partners.
• Ability to travel on short notice and to work on site; remote work is not authorized.
• Preferred locations: Huntsville, AL; Bozeman, MT; Austin, TX; San Diego, CA.

Required skills

• Expertise in MAVLink, ArduPilot and QGroundControl.
• Desired: experience integrating or operating EO/IR camera payloads, machine vision and full motion video systems, and EM spectral sensor technology for ISR.
• Desired: familiarity with optics, photonics, focal plane systems, stabilization technologies, TCP/IP networking and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
