Sales Development Representative – State & Local Government (Legal Tech)

About the role

This hybrid position based in Dayton works two days per week on‑site. The Sales Development Representative will create and secure qualified business opportunities for LexisNexis Legal & Professional, focusing on state and local government accounts in the legal‑tech sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect strategic accounts through cold calls, email and social outreach (50‑100 outbound calls daily).
• Set up qualified meetings and demos for Account Executives to build pipeline.
• Develop creative strategies to engage decision‑makers and book sales appointments.
• Collaborate with sales teams to schedule demonstrations and generate real business opportunities.
• Report monthly to management with success stories and development tactics.

Required profile

• Proven lead‑generation or inside‑sales experience.
• Strong listening, quick‑thinking and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and adherence to defined processes.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work flexible hours.
