Sales Development Representative – State & Local Government Accounts (Legal Tech)

About the role

The Sales Development Representative creates and secures qualified business opportunities for LexisNexis Legal & Professional, focusing on state and local government accounts in the legal‑tech space. This hybrid position works from the Dayton office two days a week and offers a clear path to a full sales professional role within 12‑18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect strategic business accounts via cold call, email and social outreach.
• Drive pipeline growth by setting up qualified meetings for Account Executives.
• Develop creative strategies to target decision‑makers and book sales appointments.
• Collaborate with sales teams to schedule demos, build pipeline and generate real business opportunities.
• Meet monthly with management to share success stories and refine development tactics.
• Maintain ethical, honest, and professional conduct in all activities.

Required profile

• Proven lead generation or inside‑sales experience.
• Comfortable handling 50‑100 outbound cold‑calls per day.
• Strong listening, quick thinking, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail.
• Effective time‑management skills and adherence to defined processes.

• U.S. base pay range $35,100 – $58,400 per year.
