Sales Development Representative - Philly Suburbs

About the role

This full‑time Sales Development Representative position rotates across multiple territories in the Philadelphia suburbs. The role focuses on maximizing sales of supplier brands to trade accounts while supporting the Merchandising Department during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Visit accounts on a daily route, creating an efficient routing pattern.
• Deliver professional sales presentations, promoting displays, new products, cold‑box, shelf, back‑bar placements, drink and wine lists, and promotions.
• Maintain product inventory levels and restock shelves where legally permitted.
• Increase brand visibility using current point‑of‑sale materials.
• Collect payments and deliver checks where permissible.
• Conduct educational training seminars for account staff on brand knowledge.
• Handle customer issues, complaints, and special delivery circumstances.
• Plan sales and merchandising strategies based on pricing, product programming, and historical purchase data.
• Complete required surveys for national account compliance.
• Achieve distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management.
• Process credits, returns, and manage aged receivables.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.
• Basic PC skills using Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: WSET Level 2 and/or Court of Master Sommeliers Level 2 certification.

• Starting salary of $45,000 per year.
