Safety Manager – Beverage Distribution Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Safety Manager to lead and embed a strong safety culture across our fast‑paced beverage distribution operation. You will work closely with a 175‑person operations team and a 200‑person sales organization, driving safety ownership at every level.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and chair local safety committees and conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Develop, assign, and track OSHA and DOT safety training programs for all staff.
• Manage workers‑compensation claims, maintain OSHA 300 logs, and file annual OSHA 300A reports.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• File and manage vehicle and general liability claims, monitor MVR records, and ensure proper insurance coverage for driving personnel.
• Educate transportation leaders on DOT reporting requirements and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on safety leadership experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to influence behavior, coach leaders, and challenge unsafe practices.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and credibility in the field.
• Experience managing workers‑compensation and liability claims.
