Safety & Compliance Manager

About the role

Al Warren Oil Company is looking for a technically driven, detail‑oriented Safety & Compliance Manager to strengthen transportation safety, regulatory compliance, and operational safety systems across its fuel, lubricant, and fleet operations. The role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast‑paced transportation environment and has hands‑on experience with DOT compliance, driver qualification, ELD platforms, telematics, and safety technology.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain transportation safety and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, HazMat, and drug‑and‑alcohol regulations.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, driver qualification files, CDL/medical card tracking, HazMat endorsements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse records.
• Manage ELD, telematics, and in‑cab camera systems (e.g., Samsara, Netradyne, Motive, Geotab), review safety events, driver scorecards, and generate performance reports.
• Assist with Hours‑of‑Service compliance, driver log reviews, and DOT audit preparation.
• Support fleet permit and registration tracking, including IFTA and IRP requirements.
• Investigate and document vehicle accidents, fuel spills, workplace injuries, customer incidents, and near‑misses.
• Partner with operations, dispatch, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced transportation environment.
• Proven track record with DOT compliance, driver qualification systems, and transportation safety technology.
