Room Attendant – Marriott Long Island

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms are clean, safe, and well‑maintained, supporting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service at the Marriott Long Island property.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming to brand standards.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, following the “Make it Right” guidelines.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks, manage supplies and amenities, and maintain a tidy work area.
• Follow hotel safety policies, report accidents, and ensure a hazard‑free environment.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment with strong attention to detail.
• Regular attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, wearing the proper uniform and nametag.

Required skills

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and lift up to 20‑30 lb throughout an entire shift.
• Capability to follow safety procedures and use equipment safely.
