Roller Operator – Asphalt Construction

About the role

Jr. Davis Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a motivated Roller Operator to join its heavy highway and civil construction team in Kissimmee, FL. You will operate asphalt rollers, perform general labor, and assist with equipment maintenance on a variety of road projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control asphalt rollers to compact pavement surfaces.
• Perform general labor tasks such as site cleanup and material handling.
• Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs on rollers and related equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines on the job site.
• Adapt to varying work schedules, including nights, weekends, and travel away from home when required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years recent experience operating asphalt rollers.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, heavy‑equipment operation, and OSHA safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lb regularly and work on uneven terrain.
• Professional, courteous attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
