About the role

Rolls‑Royce is seeking a skilled RO Technician to join its Remanufacturing and Overhaul team in Aiken, SC. You will work on MTU and other engine components, ensuring they meet strict quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble engines, systems, and components according to specifications.
  • Inspect and evaluate parts for defects, recommend acceptance or rejection.
  • Operate, test, and validate products, analysing results to determine next steps.
  • Position and align components manually or with hoists, and create new processes, fixturing, and tooling.
  • Repair, rework, or replace damaged parts using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specification manuals, and perform disassembly/assembly planning.
  • Document conformance using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead and jib cranes, and perform SAP transactions for tracking.
  • Support Engineering and Quality teams with deviation requests and special projects.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and promote compliance with the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, simplicity, and making a difference.

Required skills

  • Assembly and disassembly of engine components.
  • Inspection and defect evaluation.
  • Proficiency with SAP for process compliance.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation.
  • CNC milling and lathe operation.
  • Use of Blanchard rotary surface grinder, balancing machine, crack testing equipment, Merlin injector tester, and valve grinder.
  • Measurement with calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Blueprint and specification reading.
