RN Cardiology, Orlando

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its AHMG Cardiology practice in Orlando, Florida. The shift is Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-1pm, and the nurse floats to other cardiology practices in the downtown area as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors and develop individualized care plans, revising them as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, monitor for adverse reactions and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments, keep accurate medical records and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Provide emotional support, supervise and delegate care to the healthcare team, engage in continuous professional development and respond promptly to code situations

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN); Associate's degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and adjust care plans
• EKG and Advanced Life Support requirements apply

• BLS (CPR) certification required; CCNS, NEONATAL MED, NRP, PEARS, TNCC and other certifications preferred
