RN Ambulatory – Oncology Infusion Float

About the role

The RN Ambulatory – Oncology Infusion Float provides professional nursing care in an ambulatory oncology setting at the Twinsburg Family Health Center. The role involves direct patient interaction, medication administration, and support for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient health status, perform nursing assessments, and conduct telephone triage.
• Administer medications and infusion therapies, and assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures, notifying physicians or Licensed Independent Providers of abnormal findings.
• Provide health education to patients and families, and document care plans.
• Cover additional nursing roles within the department and travel to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of recent nursing experience or equivalent clinical experience within Cleveland Clinic.
• Cancer‑specific certification or ongoing qualifying education preferred.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Required skills

• Medication administration and infusion therapy.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR.
• Use of standard protective equipment and adherence to infection control precautions.
