Risk Mitigation Specialist (Top Secret-SCI)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Risk Mitigation Specialist/Officer. Selected applicants must pass a government security investigation, meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, and hold an active Top Secret-SCI clearance. The role covers preparing and overseeing Risk Management Strategies (RMSs), managing a portfolio of mitigated companies, and supporting analysis under Government oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, implement and oversee routine to moderately complex RMSs covering risk indicators, with clear treatments, rationales and residual risks, adhering to internal style guides
• Manage and oversee a portfolio of companies operating under mitigation, and give technical direction to Government and contractor staff
• Coach, train and mentor less experienced RMOs, and conduct peer reviews of their RMS drafts
• Manage workload, set suspense dates, monitor KPIs and respond to information requests from internal and external customers
• Take part in and brief at conferences and meetings, and review DCSA all-source products, open-source research and company materials to produce RMSs and Source Packages
• Maintain implemented strategies (supplements, Outside Directors/Proxy Holders) and complete risk management actions with industry and Government stakeholders

Required profile

• Active TS-SCI clearance required
• At least 8 years of experience in risk treatment or risk management (law, finance, business, operations, insurance, security, manufacturing, audits or compliance)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution
• Preferred: DCSA and DoD work experience, and 8 years of relevant experience with at least some in the last 2 years
• Office-based, five days a week with occasional telework; occasional lifting of 20-30 lbs; U.S. driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles
