Risk Analyst – Commercial Lines

About the role

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring a Risk Analyst for its Commercial Lines team in Atlanta. This is an entry-level position where you will start building your skills in property and casualty insurance and learn how insurance programs are designed to meet clients' needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Producers, Marketing Account Executives and Account Managers on preparing and executing the placement and servicing of insurance coverages on new and renewal business.
• Learn the essentials, from issuing certificates to addressing accounting issues and negotiating with carriers.
• Assist in client presentation preparations and coordinate with internal parties to secure the best outcome for clients.
• Gain exposure to many roles in the organization to identify long-term career paths.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Relevant insurance industry education, training or experience.
• Property and casualty insurance license.
• Basic insurance knowledge and a strong desire to learn toward designations such as AAI, CIC, CRM, CPCU or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships with clients.

A college degree, additional insurance certifications, significant prior insurance experience and carrier knowledge are a plus but not required.
