Retail Security Operations Account Manager

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Retail Account Manager in Wheaton, Maryland. The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an assigned retail account, including hiring, training, disciplining and terminating staff, building relationships with clients and employees, and meeting or exceeding financial and operational goals. A week-long management onboarding course is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations at the client site and manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors, including hiring, scheduling, payroll, training and coaching.
• Ensure high-quality security services that protect people and property, and coordinate support services to meet client goals.
• Maintain weekly operating schedules and payroll, and provide after-hours emergency response when required.
• Meet contractual hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime and use WinTeam for scheduling, billing and reporting.
• Develop staff through performance management, grievance resolution and record keeping, and coordinate on-the-job training and annual refresher courses.
• Keep policies, company announcements and job openings up to date in the site READ file, and manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles.
• Ensure reporting and contract compliance, communicate issues with the client, and handle escalated security incidents.

Required profile

• Four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous contract security, facilities management, military or law enforcement experience.
• At least 2 years of business management, operations or supervisory experience depending on client size.
• Experience hiring, developing and retaining staff; payroll, billing and scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

What we offer

• Salary range of $88,800 - $98,800 per year.
