Retail Pharmacist – Oncology Pharmacy

About the role

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join its oncology pharmacy team at the South Lake Union Campus. This full‑time position supports the preparation and distribution of oncology‑related medications while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compound oncology medications, label them accurately, and maintain patient records.
• Direct pharmacy technicians, interns, and assistants in all technical duties.
• Manage controlled substances storage, dispensing, documentation, and inventory.
• Monitor medication therapy for rational use and participate in drug utilization review.
• Communicate with providers and patients regarding prescribed medications.
• Adhere to all Pharmacy Department policies, Fred Hutch procedures, and state/federal laws.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Washington State pharmacist license.
• At least one year of pharmacy practice experience or completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Epic Willow pharmacy system.
• Familiarity with Beacon Oncology applications.
