Respiratory Therapy Supervisor (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to lead a team of therapists, students, and assistants. This full‑time position oversees daily operations, ensures high‑quality patient care, and supports staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise and review the work of respiratory therapy staff.
• Conduct daily rounds and visual inspections to improve service delivery.
• Train and assess competency of respiratory therapists, students and assistants.
• Monitor staffing levels daily to meet productivity guidelines.
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures including ventilator setup, bronchopulmonary drainage, and arterial blood gas measurement.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license, BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in critical care.
• Knowledge of business and management principles and ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
