Research Technician (Physiology & Cell Biology)

About the role

The Research Technician will support the Novak Lab in the Department of Physiology & Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This position involves performing laboratory experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data collection to advance biomedical research.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and document laboratory experiments following established protocols.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and biological samples.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Record and manage experimental data with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist graduate students and faculty with research projects.
• Manage inventory of supplies and order materials as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, physiology, or a related scientific field.
• Prior experience working in a research laboratory setting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
