About the role
The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Research Support Specialist to assist with data collection, study coordination, and statistical support for ongoing glaucoma clinical studies.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize research data while maintaining study databases.
- Conduct quality‑assurance checks, generate status reports, and submit monthly activity logs.
- Organize and coordinate community working‑group meetings and serve as the primary contact for community partners.
- Supervise data collection activities at protocol venues and ensure compliance with study procedures.
- Prepare and update research procedure manuals and assist with grant‑proposal documentation.
- Contribute to publications and presentations by writing and editing material.
- Maintain research files and manage the study phone line.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- No prior experience required; ability to learn new procedures and technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team‑oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
