Research Scientist – Vision, Language & Action Models

About the role

Bosch Research and Technology Center North America is seeking a Research Scientist to advance Vision‑Language‑Action (VLA) models. You will work at the intersection of computer vision, natural language processing, and autonomous planning to create embodied AI solutions for ADAS, robotics, and industrial automation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research and engineering on core AI and machine‑learning techniques for embodied AI.
• Develop modular, end‑to‑end perception and planning pipelines that integrate large vision‑language‑action models.
• Push the state‑of‑the‑art in open‑world learning, reasoning, and explainability for autonomous systems.
• Collaborate with global research and engineering teams to transfer prototypes into real Bosch products.
• Publish findings in top conferences such as CVPR, ICRA, NeurIPS, and CoRL.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in AI, computer vision, machine learning, or a related field.
• Strong publication record in top‑tier conferences or journals.
• Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional, international teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for autonomous technologies.
