Research Professor – Dermatology (Part‑time)

About the role

The Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami seeks a part‑time Research Professor to lead the Dermatology Skin Testing Lab. The role focuses on advancing non‑invasive testing services and supporting clinical research in inflammatory and immuno‑infectious dermatology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the department’s non‑invasive dermatology testing service.
• Serve as Director of the Dermatology Skin Testing Lab, overseeing daily operations.
• Design and conduct clinical studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of topical products.
• Prepare and submit grant proposals to fund research initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
• Contribute to teaching activities and mentor junior researchers.

Required profile

• PhD or MD with extensive research experience in inflammatory and immuno‑infectious dermatology.
• Proven track record of conducting clinical studies using non‑invasive methods.
• Experience in grant writing and securing research funding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
