Research Engineer - Robot Learning

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking passionate Research Engineers to advance robot learning within its Research Group. You will work on cutting‑edge physical AI technologies that power autonomous driving, robotics, and a range of industrial machines.

Key responsibilities

• Support robotic and data‑collection hardware setup and design custom mechatronic systems.
• Construct and maintain robotic simulation environments for algorithm development.
• Conduct original research on robot learning, develop algorithms, and validate them on large‑scale datasets.
• Deploy research outcomes to autonomous vehicles, mining/construction robots, humanoid platforms, and dexterous hands.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to best‑practice processes in autonomy and robotics.
• Publish findings and present results to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in robotics, machine learning, or related fields.
• Passion for research and ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and willingness to contribute across the full research lifecycle.
• Open to candidates with any level of experience, including those with potential technical‑lead or managerial capacity.
