Research Associate (Summer 2027 Grads) – Multiple Locations

About the role

NERA, an economic consultancy within Marsh, is hiring Research Associates for its summer 2027 graduates programme across several offices, including Boston, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC and White Plains (NY). The position suits candidates who have shown success in economics, finance or related fields such as accounting, statistics and computer science, and who enjoy solving analytical and empirical problems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build quantitative models and apply econometric analysis to economic and financial data
• Carry out valuation analyses
• Review, summarise and analyse industry trends
• Create trial exhibits and presentation materials
• Write code for complex data analysis
• Take part in client meetings
• Draft memos and expert reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in any major, or a Master's degree, graduating by Summer 2027
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Ability to work well on teams

Required skills

• Strong coursework or experience in finance, economics, accounting, statistical analysis/econometrics and computer programming is desirable
