Research Associate III – Stem Cell Institute

About the role

The Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Research Associate III to support the Cell Manufacturing Program. The role focuses on designing and executing experiments aimed at developing novel therapies for human cancers, while collaborating with internal and external scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily laboratory operations and perform procedures for new and ongoing research projects.
• Order, purchase, and manage reagents and supplies, monitoring inventory levels.
• Support institutional biosafety, animal care protocols, and laboratory safety documentation.
• Execute standard laboratory techniques and assist other staff as needed.
• Develop, adapt, and implement new laboratory procedures.
• Record, organize, and draft experimental results for manuscripts and presentations.
• Stay current with scientific literature and reference technical problems.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and protect university assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant research experience.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to new protocols.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency with office software and related computer applications.
