Research Associate I – Neurology (Full‑time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Neurology (Neuromuscular) department is seeking a full‑time Research Associate I to support laboratory‑based research projects. The position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in neuro‑research while contributing to high‑impact studies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow research protocols and procedures.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, including specimen preparation, tissue culture, and routine assays.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collect, analyze, and statistically evaluate research data.
• Assist with study recruitment, informed consent, and coordination of participant visits.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to manuscript preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Willingness to commit at least two years to the research team.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to good research practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior researchers, coordinators, and statisticians.
