About the role

The University of Miami Health System’s Department of Pediatrics‑Neonatology is seeking a full‑time Research Associate 1 to join the Agrawal Research Lab at the Miller School of Medicine. The role supports basic and applied research on rare genetic disorders, contributing to the generation and analysis of high‑quality scientific data.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow research protocols and procedures.
• Collect, prepare, dissect, and evaluate specimens or tissue cultures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine assays.
• Perform calculations, statistical analysis, and data interpretation for research tests.
• Analyze large‑scale genomic data using statistical methods.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation of research findings.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and publications of significant results.
