Research Associate 1 – Pathology Department

About the role

The Pathology Department at the University of Miami is seeking a Research Associate 1 to support laboratory‑based research on pancreatic and other gastrointestinal cancers. Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow research protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Collect, prepare, dissect, and evaluate specimens and tissue cultures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine assays, tests, and studies, and record accurate results.
• Conduct calculations, data collection, and statistical analysis of experimental outcomes.
• Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and presentation of significant findings.
• Maintain compliance with good research practice and university policies.
