Research Associate 1 – Myeloma (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC is seeking a full‑time Research Associate 1 to support the Sylvester Myeloma Institute. The position focuses on a grant‑funded myeloma study, handling clinical data, database maintenance, and analysis to drive research outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret research protocols and ensure compliance with good research practice.
• Collect, prepare, analyze, and evaluate specimens or tissue cultures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine assays.
• Perform calculations, statistical analysis, and data entry for research results.
• Abstract charts, maintain study databases, and support data accuracy.
• Assist investigators with protocol compliance and timely grant deliverables.
• Contribute to the publication of significant research findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• No prior experience required; ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
