About the role
The Division of Health Services Research & Policy at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks an exceptional candidate for a research‑track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The role involves conducting innovative health services, health economics, and health policy research, mentoring graduate students, and collaborating across multiple divisions within the Department of Public Health Sciences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and manage independent research projects in health services, economics, and policy.
- Secure external funding and manage grant budgets.
- Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Teach and mentor graduate students and junior faculty.
- Contribute to departmental service, committees, and interdisciplinary research centers.
- Collaborate with faculty across the five divisions of the department.
Required profile
- PhD or equivalent in public health, health economics, health services research, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity and grant acquisition.
- Experience in health policy, behavioral health services research, or related areas.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment.
- Commitment to academic excellence and mentorship.
