About the role
The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics. This faculty role focuses on advancing research that restores functional ability and improves quality of life for children with physical impairments or disabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary research projects in paediatric orthopaedic rehabilitation.
- Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present results at national conferences.
- Collaborate with other university departments, facilities, and external partners to enhance research, education, and training.
- Supervise research staff and non‑exempt personnel as needed.
- Contribute to teaching activities, including lectures, demonstrations, and curriculum development across UM schools.
Required profile
- National recognition demonstrated through peer‑reviewed publications and leadership in authorship.
- Experience presenting research at national meetings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
