Research Assistant (I‑III) – Public Health

About the role

The College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a full‑time Research Assistant to support federally funded studies on community violence prevention and health disparities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of multiple research projects, including scheduling meetings, monitoring activities, and developing SOPs.
• Oversee recruitment, data collection, entry, cleaning, and quality assurance using REDCap and other databases.
• Maintain project timelines, regulatory compliance, and liaison with community partners.
• Assist with grant writing, data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), and dissemination of findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 1‑3 years of research experience, depending on level (I, II, III).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience using REDCap for data management.
