About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Assistant I to support ongoing pathology research projects. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative academic environment focused on improving patient care and advancing scientific knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior researchers in designing and conducting laboratory experiments.
- Collect, process, and analyze biological samples and experimental data.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and safety compliance.
- Document experimental procedures and results in accordance with institutional standards.
- Prepare summaries, figures, and reports for internal and external dissemination.
Required profile
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., bachelor's degree in biology, biomedical sciences, or related field).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
