Research Assistant I, II, or III

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a full‑time Research Assistant to support federally funded studies on community violence prevention and health disparities. The position involves day‑to‑day management of multiple research projects under the supervision of principal investigators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily research activities, including recruitment, data collection, management, and analysis.
• Schedule and facilitate team meetings, develop SOPs, and monitor study timelines and milestones.
• Maintain project documentation, REDCap databases, and ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as liaison between UAMS and community partners, handling communications and outreach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 1‑3 years of research experience (level I‑III).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Experience using REDCap for data entry and management.
