About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Health seeks a part‑time Research Assistant 3 to support innovative research focused on opioid use disorder and medication‑assisted treatment. The role involves planning experiments, analyzing data, and assisting participants through recovery‑guided counseling.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement research experiments according to established protocols.
- Assess feasibility of implementing innovations and analyze data trends.
- Prepare reports, presentations, scientific papers, and manuscripts.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Provide manual‑guided counseling (Recovery Guide) to participants in the ICC‑MOUD program.
- Engage participants in learning about opioid use disorder, MOUD with buprenorphine, and develop individualized recovery plans.
- Document counseling sessions, schedule assessments, and follow up on appointments.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, safety, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience.
- Experience with opioid use disorder (lived experience preferred) or related fields.
