About the role

The Department of Pathology at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Research Assistant 2 to support the Digital Scanning Center in the Griffin Cancer Research Building. The role involves digitizing pathology slides and contributing to research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement research experiments according to protocols to ensure high‑quality scientific results.
• Assist with feasibility assessments of innovative approaches.
• Analyze data trends and develop reports and presentations.
• Support new research initiatives by reviewing and synthesizing literature.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist in preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in critical decisions.
