About the role
The Center for Advanced Transportation Technology (CATT) Lab at the University of Maryland is seeking a Requirements Analyst to join a multidisciplinary team that builds transportation data analytics and situational awareness tools. You will work closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, and software developers to translate transportation challenges into clear, testable requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional requirements for transportation analytics applications.
- Create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Maintain traceability matrices and ensure requirements are reflected throughout design, development, and testing phases.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to prioritize backlog items and support sprint planning.
- Participate in verification and validation activities, reviewing test results against documented requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in requirements analysis or business analysis, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, engineers, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile, cross‑functional team.
