Rental Counter Specialist

About the role

ASCO Equipment is hiring a Rental Counter Specialist for its Rental Department in Amarillo, Texas. The role builds relationships with customers while meeting their equipment needs, supports the sales function focused on retaining existing customers and attracting new ones, and works alongside the Rental Outside Sales Representative.

Key responsibilities

• Establish new accounts and maintain the existing book of business.
• Greet walk-in and call-in customers warmly and provide superior customer service.
• Process rental quotes, reservations and contracts using the company operating system.
• Coordinate and communicate with managers and sales teams to meet customer needs.
• Take part in product presentations at customer clinics, open houses and sponsored events.
• Address customer issues and provide effective, satisfactory solutions.
• Follow safety rules and complete required safety training.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor and represent ASCO professionally at all times.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and prior sales experience.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.

Required skills

• Solid computer skills.
• Knowledge of general business software and the G-suite platform.
