Remote Pharmacist – Full‑time

About the role

Avel eCare is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients at contracted facilities across the United States. This full‑time, remote position involves reviewing medication orders, counseling patients, and ensuring optimal therapy outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Review prescriber medication orders for safety, efficacy, and compliance with ASHP standards.
• Approve medications for dispensing using multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Evaluate medication therapy and make evidence‑based recommendations to physicians and other prescribers.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals via telephone, written communication, or other channels.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential effects, and side effects.
• Document all activities accurately within the order‑management system.
• Maintain a customer‑service focus to foster strong relationships with remote contracted facilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Hospital pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP‑accredited residency preferred.
• Active pharmacist licensure in the residing state; KS, NE, or AR licensure required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multiple Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms.
• Experience using an order‑management system for medication documentation.
