Remote Pharmacist (Florida)

About the role

AssistRx is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join its remote team supporting patients across Florida. The role blends clinical expertise with technology to ensure safe, accurate prescription processing and patient counseling.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify new and refill prescriptions in compliance with Florida pharmacy laws.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including supervision of pharmacy technicians.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and call‑center staff to clarify orders and provide clinical guidance.
• Provide patient counseling, education, and medication monitoring.
• Conduct data verification for prescription accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Document adverse events and support quality‑assurance activities.
• Participate in special projects as business needs arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• Active Florida pharmacy license.
• 2‑4 years experience in retail, mail‑order, or specialty pharmacy.
• Demonstrated ability to assess drug interactions, dosage appropriateness, and adverse events.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians or interns.
