Remote Patient Care Specialist (English & Spanish)

About the role

A remote Patient Care Specialist who speaks both English and Spanish is sought to support patients and health plan members by phone and email. Working from home, the specialist helps with appointment scheduling, plan enrollment, patient follow-ups and general inquiries, with a full-time 40-hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries and give accurate information by inbound and outbound phone calls and email
• Make outbound calls to patients to schedule medical appointments and handle inbound calls on appointment coordination
• Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments, and follow up with patients
• Enroll members in health plans and answer questions on appointment details, provider availability and scheduling timelines
• Explain test result availability and expected turnaround times when applicable
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and perform customer service and appointment management tasks

Required profile

• Written and spoken proficiency in English and Spanish
• Availability Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST (United States)
• Previous customer service experience; healthcare experience is a plus
• Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), dual monitors and stable high-speed internet

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard business tools such as email and document management platforms
• Ability to learn new systems and software quickly
