Remote IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a diligent IT Support professional to provide first‑line technical assistance to our researchers and staff. The role is fully remote and offers both full‑time and part‑time options, allowing you to help keep our IT environment running smoothly while our team focuses on pioneering neuro‑degenerative disease research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely first‑line support via email, telephone and remote‑support tools.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and networking issues on Windows and macOS systems.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, applications and peripheral devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access rights, especially within Microsoft 365.
• Assist with onboarding new employees by provisioning equipment and access.
• Log all incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
• Contribute to support documentation and user guides.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service.
