Reliability Engineer

About the role

Join Linde Inc. as a Reliability Engineer supporting the commissioning and startup of an Air Separation Unit (ASU) and two Autothermal Reformer (ATR) units in Beaumont, TX. You will ensure a safe, reliable transition to operations while driving continuous improvement of maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Support commissioning and startup activities for ASU and ATR units.
• Develop, implement, and refine preventive, predictive, and reliability‑centered maintenance programs for mechanical equipment.
• Analyze reliability, maintenance, and operational data to identify performance gaps and reduce life‑cycle costs.
• Perform equipment inspections, condition assessments, troubleshooting, predictive maintenance reviews, and quarterly infrared inspections.
• Lead failure investigations, root‑cause analyses, and corrective‑action implementation.
• Create and maintain Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and reliability programs in collaboration with subject‑matter experts.
• Maintain accurate equipment BOMs, spare‑parts inventories, and CMMS data.
• Travel across multiple facilities and provide occasional off‑hours support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum five years of maintenance or reliability engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance methodologies, reliability engineering principles, and interpretation of P&IDs and machinery drawings.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
