About the role
Google is seeking an experienced attorney to lead the regulatory and litigation strategy for its content business across the Americas. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to define defense approaches, conduct investigations, and represent the company before government agencies and courts.
Key responsibilities
- Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, enforcement actions, and related civil matters.
- Oversee collection, review, and production of accurate information for external submissions and disclosures.
- Provide legal advice on incidents, audits, and examinations conducted by government and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate multi‑jurisdictional regulatory and civil inquiries, ensuring consistent strategy and accuracy.
- Collaborate with public company boards, special committees, and audit committees on legal matters.
Required profile
- JD, LL.B., or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of attorney‑level experience in government, in‑house, or law‑firm settings.
- Admitted to the bar in the state of employment and in good standing.
- Proven track record handling regulatory risk, litigation, and investigations.
