About the role

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville is seeking a Registered Triage/Float Nurse to join its healthcare team. This regular, day‑shift position supports patient flow across multiple clinical areas, ensuring timely assessment and prioritization of care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage assessments to determine patient acuity and prioritize care.
• Float between designated units, providing nursing coverage as needed.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Experience in triage, emergency, or float nursing preferred.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours consistently.
• Strong communication and critical‑thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of triage assessment tools and protocols.
