About the role
The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (UTower). The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families.
Key responsibilities
- Prescribe, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care following nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop care plans.
- Provide patient and family teaching on post‑operative care and recovery.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN accepted with 2‑year BSN completion plan).
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum two years of critical‑care nursing experience.
