Registered Nurse – Surgical Intensive Care (Full-time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (UTower). The Staff Nurse will provide high‑quality patient care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Prescribe, coordinate, evaluate, and deliver patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide patient and family teaching on post‑operative care and recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN accepted with two‑year BSN completion plan).
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum two years of critical‑care nursing experience.
