Registered Nurse - Surgical ICU Nights

About the role

AdventHealth in Tampa is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Surgical ICU, working the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The role involves assessing patients, developing care plans and providing education to patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications and self-care strategies.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Registered Nurse Florida license (required).
• Experience in a specialty area preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
• APEX Innovations NIHSS certification (required)
